Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The restaurant won me over early. While I was sitting at a garden table, enjoying my book and a beer, a butcher walked two bags of meat up the path and the ?owner arrived with a bag of veges. How could that be anything but a good omen. The food was simple but impeccable and delicious. The beer cold and suitable. Remarkably, for Spain, my dinner - despite being outside - was entirely smoke free. Doubtlessly good luck only, but it really improved my meal. Ribs: tasty, tender and meaty. Not all sauced-up as is so often the case, with just the right amount of fries, and some bread for mopping up the residual juices. Ice-cream cake with strawberry sauce. Real strawberries in the hot sauce, and vanilla ice cream layered with thin chocolate sheets. A lovely finish."
"Food is delicious! But service can be better. They have vegan options and real vegan options with tofu protein. Menu is also very good. The ice dessert is delicious. The place is very beautiful just need a little of more air so not everything is smells fat"
"English spoken and on menu. I had the daily fish (cod) and it was delicious! Desert was good too. Made contact via Instagram to make reservation and was easily done only an hour before they opened at 8pm. We spent €35pp for a salad, main, two cups of wine, and a shared desert along with all the usual sides. Could easily have dinner here for half that and would struggle to be more than €40pp."
"Love this place! They have great GLUTEN-FREE options. It’s a really cute spot with a relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful garden. The food is amazing—we’re absolutely in love with it. Our server, Aaron, was amazing—fluent in English, very patient, and knowledgeable about my gluten intolerance. It’s a small place, so you can make a reservation or just stop by."
"The best dinner I've had doing the Camino de Santiago. Great, friendly ambience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Sarria."
"We fell upon this place driving back to France from Vigo. Lovely modern restaurant with tables in the garden and inside. Looked like a lovely little town so hopefully we will return again when we have more time and we are not driving to sample the wine. Easy to park right outside too."
"Gorgeous lunch had here. Really lovely space, garden & jazz played as we had a very simple but excellent lunch! Great value too; €14 set menu with wine. A little gem!"
"Just had lunch today along my Camino. The tuna and croquettes were the best thing I’ve eaten along the way. The few glasses of Rioja and the lovely atmosphere made it the perfect stop for lunch. Highly recommend it!!"
